Standard Inground Pool Openings

(scroll down for Aboveground Pools)
For In ground pools with a solid winter cover**
  • SOLID Winter Cover will be taken off

    • (please have water pumped off ahead of time)

  • Winter cover will be brushed and cleaned with Stow Away cover cleaner/preservative.

    • (This keeps insects & rodents away from cover over summer months. Helps prevent musty smell also.)

  • Winter Cover folded and put away.

    • (We recommend a Rubbermaid tub to store cover over summer)

  • Remove winterizing plugs

  • Install equipment drain plugs and strainer baskets.

  • Filter system will be checked and started and opening chemicals added (billed separately)

    • Shock & Algaecide will be added as long as system is operational & pool water level is adequate.

  • If customer has a heater, it will be checked to make sure it is working.

  • Ladder re-inserted

  • Dive board re-set (if applicable)

  • Handrail for walk-in stairs re-set (if applicable)

  • **We will do our best to keep water and debris from the cover from going into the pool, but cannot guarantee.

Customer Responsibilities
  • Make sure that electrical power to equipment area is turned on and functioning.

  • Please make sure most of the water is drained off of the winter cover before we arrive. Additional charges may be incurred if crew has to wait for water to drain.

  • Adjust water to proper operating level (system cannot be started if this is not competed)

  • Be sure all baskets/plugs and other supplies are accessible to our crew when they arrive.

 

For In ground pools with safety cover or no cover on pool.

  • Remove winterizing plugs

  • Install equipment drain plugs and strainer baskets.

  • Filter system will be checked and started and opening chemicals added (billed separately)

    • Shock, Algaecide, & Revive (special system start up additive that helps clear pools with mesh covers or no covers start the year properly) as long as system is operational & pool water level is adequate.

  • If customer has a heater, it will be checked to make sure it is working

  • Ladder re-inserted

  • Dive Board re-set (if applicable)

  • Handrail for walk-in stairs re-set (if applicable)
