Our pool opening service is designed to help you prepare your pool for the summer season. We will clean, inspect and start up all pool equipment, ensuring that your pool is safe and ready for use.

Inground Pool Openings

Aboveground Pool Openings

Please ensure that the water level reaches the pool skimmer before our arrival so that we can start the filtration system and add opening chemicals.

Inground Opening with Safety Cover

  • Removal of all winterizing plugs.

  • Installation of equipment plugs (filter/pump/skimmer, etc) and strainer baskets.

  • Safety Cover will be removed/folded and Stow Away Cover preservative added in process. 

    • Please have your storage bin ready for us to put cover in for storage

    • Please have all residual debris off cover before our arrival or additional charge will apply

  • Ladders/ Rails/Dive Boards will be put set in place.

  • Filtration system and heater (if applicable) will be started.

  • Opening Chemicals Added (be sure to have water level brought up under the cover so that we can start your system) 

    • If we cannot start the system because of low water level; 

      • The system will be left "ready" to start

      • We will leave the chemicals for you to add once you can bring the water level up in the pool.

    • Pool Shock- Gives your pool a good refresh of sanitizer to get levels ready for balancing

    • Algae Complete - BioGuard's premier algae killer/preventative. Deals with any residual algae and helps prevent it's startup. Has a built in clarifier to deal with it's removal also. Helps you start "off on the right foot"

    • Stow Away 

      • Deodorizer that allows for storage of wet pool covers

      • Extends the life of most swimming pool covers

      • Prevents covers from sticking together when folded

    • Revive Start Up

      • Revive is a multi-action product that removes phosphates (algae food), metals including copper and iron, scaling carbonates, organic debris and other contaminants that cause cloudy water. It is formulated to make spring start ups (especially for safety covered pools). Its enzymes and special clarifiers really speed up the process.

  • Additional Services;

    • Set Solar reel/cover in place. (cover should remain off the pool for a few hours because of pool shock being added)

    • Filter Sand Change (spring is the best time!)

    • Pumping/draining of solid winter covers 

    • Solid Winter Cover Removal & Water Tubes (or weights)

      • $100 Additional

      • Please have water drained off cover and water brought up underneath before our arrival.

    • Pools over 30,000 gallons billed at regular service rates.

Customer Responsibilities

  1. Please ensure that the electrical power to the equipment area is functioning.

  2. Be sure the water level is adjusted to the proper operating level before we arrive. The system cannot be started if the water level is not at least close to halfway up into the skimmer.

  3. Please ensure that all baskets, plugs, and other supplies are accessible to our crew upon arrival.

Inground Basic Opening

  • Everything that is included in regular opening except;

    • Owner removes cover ahead of time

    • No Stow Away cover preservative used.

Aboveground Opening with Cover

  • Removal of all winterizing plugs.

  • Installation of equipment plugs(filter/pump/skimmer, etc)and strainer baskets.

  • Winter Cover will be removed/folded and Stow Away Cover preservative added in process. 

    • Please have your storage bin ready for us to put cover in for your storage

    • Please have all residual water and debris off cover before our arrival or $59.00 additional charge will be added to cover pumping and service time to wait for water to drain off.

  • Ladder and "some" drop in steps will be put into the pool.

  • Filtration system will be started.

  • Opening Chemicals Added (be sure to have water level brought up under the cover so that we can start your system) 

    • If we cannot start the system because of low water level; 

      • The system will be left "ready" to start

      • We will leave the chemicals for you to add once you can bring the water level up in the pool.
