Pool Closings

Inground Pool Closing Descriptions

Customer Responsibilities
  • Make sure your safety cover (and anchors) are out and available for service crew.

  • We are not able to take Drop-in steps out - please have taken out before our arrival

  • Pool water level is not more than halfway up the skimmer opening.

Inground Safety Cover Closing

For pools with a safety cover on the pool.
  • Winter Closing Chemicals will be added to water-

    • Winterizing Shock and Algaecide,

    • Fall Enzyme - (controls organic contamination during the off season to minimize work when opening the pool next spring)

    • Total Alkalinity Increaser

  • Filter will be chemically cleaned with Filter Cleaner.

  • Water will be drained down.

  • Water lines will be blown using compressor.

  • Winter plugs will be installed

  • Filter and pump drain plugs will be taken off (to drain water) and stored in pump and skimmer baskets.

  • If customer has a heater, it will be checked.

  • Ladder taken out

  • Handrail for walk-in stairs will be taken out. (if applicable)

  • Safety Cover will be put onto pool and attached to anchors

    • If any safety cover anchors need to be replaced- You will be contacted if you would like these to be repaired on a separate service

 
​Surcharge for pools with solid (tarp type) cover and water tubes/weights holding it .

  • Water lines will be blown using compressor.

  • Winter plugs will be installed

  • Filter and pump drain plugs will be taken off (to drain water) and stored in pump and skimmer baskets.

  • If customer has a heater, it will be checked.

  • Ladder taken out

  • Handrail for walk-in stairs will be taken out. (if applicable)

Aboveground Pool Closing Descriptions

Aboveground Closing w/Cover

For pools with winter cover on the pool.  
  • Winter Closing Chemicals will be added to water- (Winter Shock and Algaecide)

  • Filter will be chemically cleaned with Filter Cleaner.

  • Water will be drained down.

  • Filter and pump drain plugs will be taken off (to drain water) and stored in pump and skimmer baskets.

  • If customer has a heater, it will be checked.

  • Ladder taken out

    • We are not able to remove Drop in Steps at time of closing. Please have removed before our ​arrival.

  • Winter plugs will be installed

  • Filter and pump drain plugs will be taken off (to drain water) and stored in pump and skimmer baskets.

  • If customer has a heater, it will be checked.

  • Ladder taken out

    • We are not able to lift out Drop in steps
